Weight Classes

The tenths are not covered up on the scales at the Jr./Sr. Team Tournament, NYWA team or individual regions, NYWA Invite or NYWA State Tournament.  For example, if you have a wrestler in the 3rd grade who  is wrestling in the 69-72 lbs. weight class, he/she cannot weigh more than 72.0 or he/she will be disqualified.  If he/she weighs 72.1, they cannot move up a weight class either.  All bracketing is done prior to our events and wrestlers will not be allowed to move to a different weight class because they did not make the weight they registered for.  Please call if you have any additional questions.
