NYWA State Tournament
Qualification Process ~

Each wrestler who wishes to attend the NYWA State Tournament must begin the qualification process at the district level. There are 20 district qualifiying tournaments throughout the state. The top 2 wrestlers in each weight class will advance to the region qualifier. Wrestlers can try to qualify at more than one district but PLEASE DO NOT ACCEPT REGISTRATION PAPERS AT MORE THAN ONE EVENT so that another wrestler has the opportunity to advance.

A wrester must attend the regional qualifier in which the district they qualified at is in. For example, if a wrestler qualifies at the Austin District, they cannot attend the Lakeville regional qualifier, they must attend the Rochester regional qualifier.

The top 3 wrestlers from each weight class at regions will advance to state, with the exception of the Windom region; they will advance the top 4 wrestlers in each weight class.
